I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but I am happy to just eat it straight out of the can if it is packed in water. I drain the water, even though that is where all the vitamins are. It tastes too fishy.
I prefer tuna in olive oil. I put that in a bowl and the only thing I might add is a handful of capers and some cracked black pepper. I soak up the oil with a piece of bread.
Tuna Fish and Tuna Salad
When I used to live in a truck I dined on tuna straight from the can along with a can of kidney beans. I drained both items.Citizen B wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:27 pm I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but I am happy to just eat it straight out of the can if it is packed in water. The Troll Whisperer
Mrs. King is out of town so I am having canned kidney beans for dinner tonight. I am cooking them in the juice with onion, garlic, red pepper, and molasses. Molasses in beans is a topic for another thread.Tsal wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:38 pmWhen I used to live in a truck I dined on tuna straight from the can along with a can of kidney beans. A lunch favorite of mine is a can of tuna, drained, and a can of garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed, mixed together with Italian salad dressing. Tasy and healthy.Tsal wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 12:38 pmWhen I used to live in a truck I dined on tuna straight from the can along with a can of kidney beans. I'm a big fan of fresh jalapeno slices with fish. Especially on the rare occasion that I have sushi. That bit of spice opens up the flavors big time

I like the little cans packed in olive oil too.
