I'm with you there! Dunhills look nice and all, but I doubt I'll ever own one for the same reason. No idea if they smoke THAT much better than a comparable pipe from some other, more common makers. Call me lowbrow, but I like my cobs, Grabows and Medicos just fine. Maybe one day I'll go for something pricey just to try it.
My one Dunhill was gifted to me. It is a great pipe and smokes as well as most of my others. I don't smoke it often as it's 72 years old.

It's my birth year pipe. My oldest pipe is an 1898.
