Surprisingly Fosters is brewed primarily for export, it's poorly rated here, most stores don't even stock it.Piping Abe wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:13 pmNever heard of it! But I am a huge fan of Fosters! Delicious stuff
This is interesting, Fosters is brewed in Fort Worth Texas

Wow thats crazy. It really is the perfect hot weather beer. They only sell it in huge cans around here. 2 cans for $4. Not surprising though. When I went to Scotland once I saw the locals ordering Budweiser. I was like why the hell would you drink that!? Grass is always greener right?Santa wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:28 pmSurprisingly Fosters is brewed primarily for export, it's poorly rated here, most stores don't even stock it.Piping Abe wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:13 pmNever heard of it! Being brewed in Texas actually isn't surprising to me. Wife and I did the brewery tour and tasting at Kona Brewing in Hawaii. Because of the cost of building a glass plant / buying and shipping bottles / shipping full bottles back to the mainland and all of the things like shipping breakage, 99% of their brewing / bottling is done here in California. The only time you get a Kona brewed in Kona is when you visit the islands. So if Foster's actually has aussie roots, it makes zero financial sense for them to actually brew it there and ship it.Santa wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:28 pmSurprisingly Fosters is brewed primarily for export, it's poorly rated here, most stores don't even stock it.Piping Abe wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:13 pmNever heard of it!
