I just saw an article about a cocktail that rubs me the wrong way but I need to try just because of the name. "grumpy old man" is bourbon + ginger ale + lime juice. I'm guessing it's a favorite of the members...

I've been trying to kill off a bottle of brandy and I had the same cocktail with brandy the other day. It was quite good.

Interesting. It's been a couple of decades since I've had brandy so I couldn't even recall the taste to know if it's in my wheelhouse. I really dislike scotch, and a buddy of mine left a bottle with a couple slugs left in it about a year ago so last weekend I polished it off with a ginger ale assist.
