Here is a likely scenario from the decade in question.
1970's Drek.
I have never been a fan of this guy or his ouvre of work but I gotta respect the guy for paying the bills and doing what he did and being himself.
I am glad I did not live in Waylon Flowers head, but, I am sure there are worse heads to live in. He made out okay. R.I.P.

Agreed. I'd take Paul Winchell or Edgar Bergen over Waylon any day.Citizen B wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 5:04 pm I have never been a fan of this guy or his ouvre of work but I gotta respect the guy for paying the bills and doing what he did and being himself.

I wonder if "blame Wildcat" will become a theme here? - Fr_Tom

Classic comedy. If you don't find these funny you have no sense of humor. Thanks for sharing.
I watched a rerun of an old Carson show with Buddy Hackett the other night. He was pushing a book he had written. A book of poems. Like most, if not all successful comedians, he could go from hilarious to heart wrenching in a moment. Here ut happened when he recited a poem from memory about his parents and the love they shared. What was it Lawrence Olivier said about making people laugh and cry...
