Another round of ryback in the stanwell 77 with coffee. Just ordered some plain ol steel shelf brackets for the shelves I'm making. Decided that the missus is only keeping the one with the oops

Any difference to you between the regular shag cut and the vintage cut?

As you folks probably figured out I opened a bag that I thought was the Vintage and discovered it was just like the previous bag. I checked the bar code and it was the same as the previous - different look to the bag. SO - I found the bag of the Vintage Cut and opened it. It is "a little" more of a ribbon, but it is a pretty narrow one. I am not discerning any difference in taste, smoking characteristics, etc. I pack the shag pretty tight and this perhaps a little more loosely. I really like the Kendal Kentucky. I can go either way here and don't prefer one over the other. If one is more available or cheaper, that will be the one I get in the future.

2 bowls today of G&H Coniston Cut Plug in the new Meerschaum. My first smokes in a Meerschaum. I definately got the muted flavors that i’ve heard about in Meerschaum. I also heard after about 15-20 bowls it goes away. Overall enjoyable smokes. I kept looking at the pipe. I really like it.
