Correct, Benchmade is a brand. And (in my opinion) grossly overpriced and overratedWildcat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 3:40 pmI'll display my ignorance once again... Benchmade is a brand and not something you made? You have the tools and the skill set so I could imagine you making one.Mr Beardsley wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 3:09 pm The Benchmade CLA on the bottom is my tobacco cutter. Because I hate the way it sits in my pocket it doesn't get carried

I use this. Great for skinning squirrels or cutting tobacco. No need to sharpen, just swap out the blade. Last blade lasted me a while.

Usually , about any knife that I may have on me but I prefer a sheepsfoot blade for the job

I usually cut my plugs with an electric chainsaw... It's makes flakes and rubs them out into ribbons all at once!
In all seriousness, I only recently acquired a proper plug that will need to be sliced and I haven't yet opened it. When I do, my plan is to use a sharp Santuko-style knife unless I can source an awesome and proper tobacco cutter like @ncrobb has. *Jealouos!*

It rarely gets used. I hade to make a blade for it, but it cuts the hardest plug with no effort.kschatey wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:15 amI usually cut my plugs with an electric chainsaw... It's makes flakes and rubs them out into ribbons all at once!
