Yes I am starting a thread for this in September 2023
Anyways, the hurricane cleanup began today. Temperature was about 95 today. I started by cutting and dissassembling the metal gazebo and had that done fairly quick. Will take it to the dump tomorrow. Then I moved onto the tree limb. It was about 2 feet thick. I began cutting and to my surprise, it was hollow. Come to find out, it started pouring out ants and roaches. Absolutely disgusting. I hate this about Georgia. In the end, I am happy with my progress. Just tons of spanish moss to clean up and the big pieces of the branch. My chainsaw fell apart right as I stopped, lost a nut. My wheelbarrow handle snapped, rotted from sitting outside in terrible heat and humidity. After a trip to Lowes tomorrow, it shouldn’t take much more time. Before and after pics below

Wow. When Hugo came all the way inland to Charlotte it dropped a Hickory tree on my ‘73 Challenger and laid a Poplar against the back of our house. I helped our neighbor cut pine limbs out of his kitchen that came in through the roof. Glad you didn’t get any more damage than you did.

But on a happy note along the lines of “Whatcha Doin’” I washed my wife’s Jeep and my truck earlier today. We took the windows out and top off the Jeep and rode to Boone and back to get out of the house. I just realized for the last while I’ve been playing a guitar that I built into an amp that I built. Kinda cool, they both have my “Silent E” logo on them.

Finished the yard cleanup today. I had to install new handles on my wheelbarrow. And boy that is a PITA!
The only things left are to fix the fence, figure out what i’m gonna do with my kids playhouse and get a new pergola/gazebo for shade.
Your right @ncrobb many people I know have way worse damage.

Very nice. I wish people would stop breeding dogs. Theres so many that need homes in shelters or on the streets. Just a one year ban would change a lot of things. Breeding is so bad for dogsHSigurdsson wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 6:39 pm This weekend we did our twice yearly "spay & neuter" clinic. I did 42 operations on Saturday and Sunday.

You should drop that tree completely and be done with it.Piping Abe wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 6:26 pm Finished the yard cleanup today. I had to install new handles on my wheelbarrow. And boy that is a PITA!
