Anyways, the hurricane cleanup began today. Temperature was about 95 today. I started by cutting and dissassembling the metal gazebo and had that done fairly quick. Will take it to the dump tomorrow. Then I moved onto the tree limb. It was about 2 feet thick. I began cutting and to my surprise, it was hollow. Come to find out, it started pouring out ants and roaches. Absolutely disgusting. I hate this about Georgia. In the end, I am happy with my progress. Just tons of spanish moss to clean up and the big pieces of the branch. My chainsaw fell apart right as I stopped, lost a nut. My wheelbarrow handle snapped, rotted from sitting outside in terrible heat and humidity. After a trip to Lowes tomorrow, it shouldn’t take much more time. Before and after pics below
The insurance is gonna deal with the fence
and laid a Poplar against the back of our house. I helped our neighbor cut pine limbs out of his kitchen that came in through the roof. Glad you didn’t get any more damage than you did.
