The bowl gets about half as hot as a regular 1700s clay pipe.

I believe Zenith are double walled and hollow on the inside.

Yes, they are hollow. They don't smoke any hotter than most other pipes. They do get hotter than a briar pipe, but how hot it gets depends on what tobacco you are smoking and how long the smoke lasts. I wouldn't recommend Flake tobacco. Whatever makes a short smoke is best.

Yeah, a couple of dozen at least. But everything has gone up. I'm glad we can still buy corn cob pipes. All the other makers are long gone. As a business, they have to do what they have to do to stay in business. I doubt anyone is making billions off of it.

How would you make a porcelain pipe? Isn't the goal of briar pipe carvers to get the draft hole as low as possible? I actually prefer it to be a little high in my briar pipes. It seems to smoke drier that way. On these pipes, the moisture sits in the bottom, like the well on a Peterson SYSTEM pipe.
After they cool, you just rinse them with a little alcohol.

The bottom left in the picture is as straight as I have seen. It is also the best smoker, as you can see by the color. If you want it, let me know. I will probably never smoke it again. Actually, if anyone wants any of these, let me know.Citizen B wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 5:08 pm1.) I wish they were still being made.Piping Abe wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 5:04 pm

Those come up on ebay often. You have to be careful as some are made as souvenirs and not really for smoking. Case in point.Citizen B wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 5:08 pm1.) I wish they were still being made.Piping Abe wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 5:04 pm
