" I believe adventure is nothing but a romantic name for trouble " L.L.
Hello. I was all over this as soon as I saw the title.
I owned this comic book.
I am a big fan of John Carter and I wish all ten books were still in print instead of just Chessmen of Mars and Thuvia. I thought the movie was good, but agreed, that it has been copied so many times that the film version of Barroom was late in the game. Mrs. King and I both enjoyed it nonetheless and Mrs. King read the books available--the two above and Warlord of Mars, which was released with the movie and the movie followed the book's plot.
Tars Tarkas is a wise Thark. That is why he is jeddak.

Have never read the books, but I loved the movie.

I don't know how many there were, but read several of the books when I was 10 or so.Citizen B wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 8:52 pm Hello. I was all over this as soon as I saw the title.

I liked Doc Savage best though.

God and Texas!
I've read a few but the Man of Bronze and his crew never appealed to me.
G-8 and his Battle Aces, though. I find those stories riveting.
These reprints are the best $9.95 you will ever spend in the best pulp tradition. WWI zombies! The Cave Man Patrol! The Gorilla Staffel! What's not to like? https://adventurehouse.com/shop/product ... e-aces-ah/
