King is his own worst enemy. He likes his own words too much and fails to edit when needed. He is overrated.
"It's" as much a coming of age tale/growing older as horror. If you're not enjoying it so far, I doubt you will. Salem's Lot and Pet Semetary (also Cujo) are better if you want more focused horror. Don't read The Stand lol
