Got notification today that I will be moving to Minot AFB North Dakota in a few months.
It was a special duty I applied for and got accepted. I will
be working at the Nuclear Missle Facilities.
I am really excited to get back to the cold. And I mean COLD.
The best part is the gig is only 3-4 years and then I get to move again.
Now I have 3 months to sell my house

I've been to Minot. At least it won't feel as cold with all of the trees providing wind breaks .....oh wait.....the nearest tree is 300 miles away....unless you bring your own tree.......

We stopped there for a refuel on the way to Elmendorf for some training, yep, it’s a BYOT base! The Cold War had just “ended” and the flightline had bombers lined up and down the flightline. It was strange to see with only minimal personnel on duty.
