116 years ago LBJ discovered America. I like post-retirement LBJ best. He really let his hair down and started smoking again.
I think LBJ, at the end, would admonish us to remember our Creator in the days of our youth, before the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
Enough of the gloomy talk of that grim tyrant death, and let us on this his birthday, an Official State Holiday in Texas, remember the birth of our 36th President and proud Son of Texas, Lyndon Baines Johnson. Happy 116th Mr. President!
